A few "thankfulls"

I have a few seconds to spare in between folding laundry and packing. I'm not sure what time we're leaving, since I have no idea what time Kele gets off work.. Could be any minute now or after lunch.

-I am so thankful that my hubby has a good job and job security!
-I am so thankful that I have a roof over my head, a working heater and a comfortable bed.
-I am so thankful for a perfect little baby that is fearfully and wonderfully made.
-I am so thankful for a loving and loyal LOVER!
-I am so thankful that I was raised in such a great family, and am closer to all of them now then ever. I have a wonderful and supportive set of parents! And an amazing best friend sister! And a smart brother!
-I am so thankful that I get to spend Christmas with all my family this year!!!
-I am so thankful for the great friends that I have made here, who have made this place so much better in so many ways.
-I am so thankful that even after all these years, Beth is still by my side and she still sends me sweet texts!
-and most importantly, I am thankful for my Heavenly Father that loves beyond words, who always provides for my family and makes ends meet, and who continues to amaze me and show Himself to me everyday through the love of a little child :)

SO much more to be thankful for, but gotta run!! Hope everyone has a great Thanksgiving!
Don't be too sad without me, Momma B!

Grandpa

Cayden is loving having his grandpa here. There are times during the day when he wont let him put him down.. He reaches right back up, it is so cute. He is getting very spoiled which I'm sure I'll pay for when he leaves!

Tomorrow we are off to Vegas!!! Can't wait! My cousin Jay and his wife, Jenni, and little Kiera will be flying in from Colorado. Maybe she can give Cayden a walking lesson? We are staying at my Uncle Jim's and Aunt Lisa's. They always spoil us while we are there. It will still be another strange Thanksgiving away from home, but I'm just glad that my dad is at least out here. Mom (and grandpa and grandmom) are cooking the Thanksgiving feast at home. But, have I mentioned how excited I am for some black Friday shopping??? Yippeee!!!

I bought Cayden some markers today. He loves to color and always eats the crayons so I thought these would be good. They are the ones that are shaped like balls and they fit "perfectly" in their hands....... If only he could understand that the ink comes out of the place he wants to hold onto. We'll keep trying them, but they were a mess (a cute mess). And it was a little funny.

Threes!

3 Joys-
-Cayden! He just so happens to be the biggest joy in my life, in case anyone didn't notice! He is so happy and full of life and reminds me every day to let little things go and have some fun!
-Kele! He is the love of my life! He is so good to me and takes such good care of us :)
-Mom, Dad and Sister! How lucky am I that I get to talk to them various times a day about everything? And they come to visit me in this boring ol' place and make my life so much better!

3 Fears-
-Cayden getting hurt or me not being able to comfort him.
-Kele or Dad getting into a motorcycle wreck. Those things are dangerous!
-My cell phone ever ringing in the middle of the night because that would be bad news. Thanks mom.

3 Goals-
-Pay off the credit card after Christmas!
-Decorate my Christmas tree next week!
-Possibly act on the idea that Kele had of us finding a babysitter and going to the gym together once or twice a week.

3 Current obsessions
-Ummm.. Blogging!
-Taking pictures of Cayden's every new move.
-Starbucks sounds awfully good right now.. and No, I don't "spend my husband's paycheck on Starbucks", thank you very much.

3 Random Facts-
-I hate straightening my hair! Ah!
-I love cereal. I could live off of cereal.
-I have to have lotion on my feet and hands before I can fall asleep.

Alright! Now I tag... Mom, Katie and Megan! Have fun!

Saturday night love

Having a baby has done things to me that I could never have imagined. I have always smiled at every single child that I come across, but now it's different. And there's so much more to it. Cayden is the first thing that I have loved as the Father loves me. He is the first taker of my upmost affection and he didn't even have to earn it. He was worthy of my affection from the very start. I love him. End of story. I just do.

I think that every mother brags. I don't know what else to write about when our days aren't filled with choas. But I know that he continues to steal my heart each and every single day. I am beyond thankful to have a healthy little boy who continues to grow every day. I am thankful that I have a loving husband who helps me when I am feeling frusturated, who picks up all the toys while I am rocking Cayden to sleep, who is dedicated to his job and school just so that I can stay at home and love on my Bug all day long. A husband who thanks me for dinner every night, and who gives Cayden fun baths, who lets me have the TV remote at night.. And, he's nice to look at!!
____________________________________________
My Dad is on his journey here. This morning when he went to get in his car, he noticed a puddle underneath it. He checked all the fluids and noticed the coolant was low, so off he went to Walmart to refil it. He debated just jumping on his motorcycle, which he was itching to do in the first place. BUT, we filled his SUV up with boxes and boxes of Christmas presents and decorations and whatever else we could come up with! So, Mom and Dad assumed it was water dripping from the headlights that he cleaned at the gas station the night before, or maybe one of the dogs peed in the garage. Praying, praying, and off he went! I'm not sure how long he made it before his engine light came on. Ugh!!! So now, he is staying the night at my Uncle Jim's in Vegas. It's weird to think that he's not even 300 miles away! I'm so excited. He is doing his research and checking the car out, and will make the decision in the morning. He will either head out here first thing in the morning if he feels it's all a go, or take it into Uncle Jim's mechanic if he feels like it needs to be looked at. Either way, I'll be seeing him SOON! Yay!
Goodnight!

The most wonderful time...

Holy crap I am in the mood to Christmas shop! Kohls is having a big sale this weekend and I wish I could go. Online shopping just isn't quite the same. And I'm trying to decide which Christmas CD I should buy... any suggestions? I love Christmas!!!!! And I'm finally getting in the mood! Grandmom is sending out TONS of christmas lights for me, I can't wait to decorate with what little I have and put up the tree.

I am so proud of how Kele is doing in school. He was a little overwhelmed for a couple weeks there with all he had to do. His mom is so encouraging to him which I know he appreciates. He aced his midterm with flying colors, I guess the 20 hours he put into it were worth it. Next is his final paper. Who knew he was so dang smart?! Plus now that the guys are back from the field, he's been working some long days. He didn't get home until 730 last night and he was pretty bummed that Cayden wasn't still up. So this morning they made up for it with some extra cuddles.

Life stories

I hate when I get into bed at night and feel like I didn't do enough for Cayden during the day.. I didn't cuddle him enough, or play with him enough, or laugh with him enough, or rock him long enough.. so I have been majorly working on that the last week or so. I know that I spend all day every day with him, but that's different than really "spending" time with him. I want to wrestle and roll around on the floor with him all day, I want to spend more days adventuring at the park together, I want to make him laugh and teach him new words, and walk around the grocery store and tell him all about yummy snacks and fruit, and just be silly all day! There's no better feeling than knowing that he is going to bed a happy and content little boy, and then waking up calling out for his Mama and Daddy, because he knows that we are there waiting for him. I want him to be able to look back on his childhood and just remember happy times that we spent playing together and growing together and learning together. You think you know it all, and then you have children and they teach you a whole new meaning to life. He really gives me a reason to be happy and content with my life, and to draw out the good stuff and shut out the negative. We laugh at everything all day, and chase around the kitty, and play hide-n-seek. He even helps me clean- -today he followed me around with the Pledge and handed it to me each time I needed it, and then he "helped" me push around the vacuum. And I so look forward to bed time and nap time, not because there's peace and quiet, but because I get to sit there for the greatest 15 minutes of the day and hold him in my arms and just stare at him. He is such a big bundle of joy who is so great at reminding me what it's all about. He adores his daddy too, but we'll save that for another post.

Man, am I lucky or what???

Thanks Katie

Katie: "hum... maybe potty training will be a breeze for u"

Early morning blabber

I am up way too early and couldn't fall back asleep. Cayden is still up in his crib jabbering away, waiting patiently for someone to come play.
My dad finally made up his mind and has decided to drive out here on Saturday. I'm so excited! Thanksgiving was a little tough last year without my mom, dad and siblings. We are trying hard to think of things that we can fill his Pathfinder up with, maybe I'll get some Christmas shopping done on black Friday and can send some home with him.
We bought our tickets home for Christmas first thing on Saturday morning, and Kele took the itenerary with him to work. When he got there, they told them that leave got changed back to the 27th because of the prepare to deploy order that is almost over.
"What????! I just bought my freaking tickets home!!!" says Kele.
"Let me look at that." Says 1st Sergeant.
"Oh, its okay little Jonesy. You and your family are the best so you can still go home for Christmas."

I'm sure the conversation went exactly like that, but you get the just of it. If we wouldn't have bought tickets that very morning before he left for work, my Christmas dreams would've been shattered!!

Well I'm off to go rescue my little prince. If I leave him up there too long he might just figure out how to get himself out of his bed.

Urgent Prayer Needed

I just wanted to pass on a prayer request near to my heart. I do not know this family, but ran across it on someone else's blog and my heart just broke for little Rachel. She needs a medical miracle and appears to be losing her battle with cancer. Check out her story here : http//www.caringbridge.org/cb/viewHome.do

Posing

Every time I pull my camera out, this is what I get.. I don't know, do you think he's posing????

P.S.

Cayden is taking the first afternoon nap in FOUR days! He lets me rock him to sleep, and then when I put him down he gets really mad and wakes up. Thankfully today, he stayed asleep. I needed it, I could barely keep my eyes open while I was up there. Ahhh, sweet silence!!

Crafty?

So I went to a Close to my Heart party last night, hosted by Ava. Tiffany is so incredibly creative, I could only wish to have an ounce of her talent! With her help, we all got to make 5 Christmas cards. I almost didn't go because I was tired and Kele walked in the door as I walked out. But I knew if I didn't go I'd end up regretting it. It's always the kick that gets me out the door, and I always end up glad that I went. And it's always a bonus to talk to women, without men or kids around! Anyways, I had a great time, I can't wait until the next CTMH party! I will be making our Christmas cards this year with the help of a kit. These are the cards we made: Don't be surprised if you get one of them in the mail in a few weeks :)

"Mom, your cards stink!"

It has changed!!!

As everyone knows, our original Christmas leave date wasn't until after Christmas. Well.... Thanks to the awesome post general, it has changed!!!! We will now be home to celebrate the way it should be. I really didn't want to cook a huge feast by myself, thats for sure. I know Kele is really excited to get to see Cody when he gets back to GA. And I know I'm really excited for Cayden to spend Christmas with his cousins now that he knows what's actually going on! I love the busyness of the day! Going to Weenie's first, then off to Kele's parent's, and then to Grandmom's, and then being sad that the day is over already. I don't know what could've made my day any better than this news!!!! And I was so short with Kele when he called to tell me because I was in the WIC office and couldn't hear over all the wild kids in there. So I felt bad when I called him back, sorry babe! Well I'm off to bake some cookies... I need to get my chocolate fix in somehow!

Here goes a new blog! Hopefully I can come up with something interesting enough for you to read!
