Today was the first day that Kele has had off since I got home almost two weeks ago. Not only has he been working, but he has had to stay late almost every day! Some days I feel the toll after I put Cayden to bed and sit down and really realize how tired I really am. I could never be a single monther, lol! It was nice to wake up to him, he cooked us breakfast and dinner! I really wanted to make the trip to Barstow today but he needed to get everything measured on his class A's. He has his re-enlistment ceremony on Monday, so will be off the rest of the day. Tuesday he goes to the promotion board (cross your fingers for him!!!), so he will be off the rest of the day. And Wednesday is a half day to the start of a 4 day weekend. Yippee!!! I hate rotations, but always look forward to the long weekend that follows!
Dad is in Huntington Beach running a race this weekend, and will drive on over to watch the Superbowl and stay the night. It will be a good surprise for Cayden I think!
We are planning on getting our family pictures done sometime before the month is over, we have never done them together as a family and I am so excited!! I finally met Chelsea, who has been my Myspace friend for some time and has finally moved out here and is getting settled in! She is an awesome photographer, and has the world's cutest daughter that I think Cayden is crushing on :) It feels like all the sudden I am finally meeting people and getting involved. It only took two years! I am really surprisingly going to be sad to leave, but excited to see more. Chelsea, Meagan and I are going to start Babyboot camp next week. I need some motivation to lose the rest of this baby weight and I am having a realllllllly hard time finding it. It makes me so depressed but yet I do nothing about it. When on earth will I get out of this rut?? I am hoping I love the class and want to go more. We gotta push each other, girls!

Speechless
I just found sweet Tuesdays blog tonight and tears were streaming down my face as I read this news on her family blog. .
My deepest fears were confirmed. Tomorrow we take our precious daughter home. Her cancer doubled in size in less than a week proving once and for all that it is horribly aggressive and no longer chemo sensitive. We have no idea how to do this but we have no doubt we will be cared for every step of the way. This is all I have in me. Please pray for peace for our children, our parents and our siblings. Tuesday, full of grace, you are our so very loved.
Prayer is so powerful, and that is about all that they can do now is pray for her healing, for her parents and siblings.

Sense of peace
Kele and I have made the decision to hold off on any more vaccinations for Cayden. After doing much reasearch and lots of praying, we feel it is the right thing. Not because he had any bad side effects, only because I feel in my heart that it will do more harm than not. I'm not saying he is never going to get another shot, but I want to wait until he grows older and his body is bigger. He has had all of his shots up untill 12 months, and let me tell you that the last appointment was traumatizing! I don't think I have even had that many pokes in one day! Today was the first appointment since we made this decision and I was so nervous going in there alone and telling the doctor that he wasn't going to be getting any shots today. Of corse when I told him, he had to give me his speech about the importance of them, but surprisingly he didn't put any pressure on me or try and change my mind. He just simply said "It is your decision!". If only I could see the same doctor every visit and not have to feel the nervousness at every appointment!
Kele signed his reenlistment papers this morning. Holy cow it is becoming real! They wanted him to sign for longer, and of corse were offering him money, but we decided that we only wanted to do the bare minimum to get there, and if we love it then we will take it from there.
Cayden is having some "quiet time" (as my mom calls it) up in his crib, I doubt that he will fall asleep and it is getting too late, but he is content singing to himself. I am going to Tiffany's Close To My Heart party tonight.. two hours away and I am crossing my fingers that Kele gets off work in time! I thought I could just take him with me, but now with no afternoon nap he is going to be ready for bed e-a-r-l-y.

Not Me! Monday
Here we go again!
Well this week, I did not start to give up hope about really moving to Colorado. I wasn't imagining what another year would be like here in the desert, and get sad that everyone else is leaving.
They did not make Kele add one more year onto his contract, and they definitely gave him other options. The Army would never screw you over like that!!
But on a lighter note, I am definitely not moving back to the Colorful state of Colorado in less than TWO months!!!!!!!! Yippee!!
I am not begging my sister to move in with us, because that would be so silly! I would not absolutely love having her home with me. I am not trying to think of bribes, I am not searching for a 3 bedroom house, and definitely wouldn't look for a new car for her that would have cheaper payments. And I didn't tell her that I was going to make her hang out at the officer barracks to look for a new man. No way! She definitely isn't considering it :)
Cayden did not pump out loads of dishwasher detergent all over the kitchen floor while I wasn't looking on Saturday, and it didn't ruin a rug and some towels. I would definitely pay better attention to him than that!
I also didn't whine and moan when Kele told me he has to stay after work for an hour everyday before the promotion board to study with his sergant. I am a much more supportive wife than that! And he also isn't going to the board next Tuesday!!! I am not proud of him at all.
I have not sat here on the computer for the last hour while Cayden has napped, reguardless of freezing cold hands and loads of laundry that need laundered. No way, I always get my house work done! And I am not going to blame it on my new addiction to facebook. I still hate facebook!
I hope everyone is having a good Monday. I am still dreading a long boring week, but looking foward to a 4day weekend SOON! I know I need it :)

How?
Sometimes I wonder how on earth I got so lucky. Cayden continues to amaze me every single day, whether its blowing kisses or telling a stranger they stink or when he just has a cuddly day and wants nothing more than to be held. How awesome that I get to snuggle him up every single day???
Tomorrow we are heading back to Fort Irwin. The weather here in CO is awesome today. I'm a little anxious to get back home and get back into the routine of things, but it still doesn't make it any easier to leave. At least I have something to look foward to- coming back in a couple of short months for GOOD! I'm nervous to fly with Cayden like I always am and want to get it over with. But I will miss my mom, I wish I could put her in my bag and bring her with me.
Off to pack,
Kelly

A few minutes
Haven't posted in a while, just thought I'd let you know that we're still alive. We are still in Colorado, and having a great time- cold weather and all. Kele went back on Saturday to a very cold house and lonely but happy cat. The house was about 50 degrees when he got home, and Pinnacle still has yet to figure out what is wrong with it. Maybe today's the day! Then at midnight, the fire alarm starts going off saying there's carbon monoxicide, so after turning it off 3 times himself, I finally talked him into calling the fire department. They got there pretty quick, and said the gas levels were pretty high, and its a good thing he called when he did. There was a leak behind the stove, so again Pinnacle was there replacing that. They had to air out the whole house, with all the doors and windows open so I'm sure that felt great with no heater. He scared the poop out of me because he called to say he lost the cat, but all the sudden he was right under the bed where he looked 10 times before. Imagine that! All I could think about was poor Chopper outside giving someone a good dinner. Thank God my sweet husband was walking around the neighborhood at 3am calling my kitty home, just in case. :)
I haven't had a chance to upload any pictures, it's hard to find time to come down here to the computer. Cayden is entertaining himself with a golf ball right now. We have spent lots of time with family and a few friends. I finally bought my ticket back to Fort Irwin, I'll be back on the 18th. We also went down to Fort Carson to do some exploring. That post is so huge, but I mean look at what I'm used to! We toured a few apartments and are really hoping to get into a certain one. But it sounds like they are hard to come by. We are crossing our fingers!
That's all for now! We are going to have lunch with one of the very few girls I have stayed in touch with from highschool, I can't wait!
