Perfect morning

There was a reason Cayden woke up extra early this morning.... he knew it was snowing outside!

It is offically offical that we are still going to Carson. We had some confusion over the weekend, but Kele called his branch manager and she cleared it up for him. For some reason, even tho it was on his AKO, she said she never approved it. Now, however, it is approved. Still for April 10th!

Now for some giggles.. I am so putting this in his highschool yearbook when he graduates!

Have a great Monday! Gotta start packing!

Sunday

Today we went to Super Target. Although we didn't buy more than a bottle of water (I seriously couldn't find one single thing I needed.... weird right?), it felt so good to just walk around. I am having a hard time thinking of gifts.. I only have my family left to buy for. I guess it will be a busy 4 days of shopping when I get home! Yippee!

Cayden is so darn cute on his bike. He's so proud, he waved at everyone who was driving by. He is now a full time walker, its rare to see him crawl. He is learning so many new words, he knows what noises a doggy, kitty, duck and cow makes. And he still won't stop talking about his Gapa. He says "all done" when he is done eating. He picks up a cell phone and pretends he is talking on it, I can't figure out what he says but it cracks me up because he talks so loud. He likes to hand you a camera and then smile as big as he can for you. What a ham, it's funny how fast they pick things up!

Lights

Our Christmas lights are finally up! Can you find Cayden in the picture?

I seem to have some sort of a stomach bug that hit me on Monday night that I can't get rid of! Ugh! But other than that, today was good! Kele goes back to work tomorrow but then is off on Friday. Glad this week has gone so fast, and next Saturday we will be home!

MOVING!

Well, this is big and exciting and scary!
We have a report date to Fort Carson, Colorado on April 10th. And do you know that this base is a short hour and a half drive from our families?? Wow!!!!! I have so many feelings about it and its all pretty new and I'm sure will get more scary as it gets closer, but right now I am ectastic about it!!!!!!!

"Papa Papa Papa"

He has been carrying "papa" around all day, along with that chapstick. :)

December 4th

Today was a good day, despite how tired I am!

I now have a walking baby!!!!!!! He gets so happy when he walks across the room, and when we cheer him on he gets a little grin on his face and hides in my arms. So darn cute!

And also, Cody just called and he's back home!!!!! Yayyayyay!! I can't wait to talk to Brianna, but I guess I'll give them some space :)

I have a new walking buddy! Not to mention she's skinny as a stick (and has a 3 month old baby) so there's some more motivation. We walked so far today and I didn't even notice because we were talking the whole time! She rocks and I can't wait to get to know her more :) I have walked every day this week and plan on keeping it up, lets hope it doesn't get too cold.

My aunt emailed me and asked if we had a ToysRUs close by.. So I said yes! It's a little over an hour away! And she said "Oh I was hoping you had one close by so that I could send Cayden a giftcard for Christmas but it'd just be cheaper to pay the shipping than you having to drive there!"
I laughed, she doesn't understand that that is close! haha!

Just waiting for Grey's to come on.. I hate that it comes on so late when I'm sleepy!

Bike

Cayden got his first christmas present which will be put to good use! Had to get it out while the weather was still nice, right? And so you know, I just ordered a bicycle helmet off of ebay. He will soon be on the road, beyond the driveway :)

And even more exciting, Cody will be in Georgia TOMORROW!!!!! (For those who don't know, Cody is Kele's older brother who has been in Iraq for over a year.) Brianna, who is his wife and my very good friend, had twin boys (Carter and Carson) last December after Cody left. Cody got to come home for R&R after they were born, so has only spent two short weeks with them. I am so beyond excited for them to start their family and for Cody to be home safe! He left days after Cayden was born- to me it feels like Cayden has been here forever so I can't even imagine how Brianna has felt. She told me yesterday, "I just want to be whole again", which makes me so sad and so happy at the same time. They get into Denver a few days after we do, so we will all be spending Christmas together. YAY I'm so excited!!

Not me! Monday

Free therapy at it's funniest!

I did not just get out of the shower and debate whether calling it a night or coming down to write a blog. Not me! I am not worn out for a long Monday, and I do not like going to bed early!

While taking the first long walk in a while, I did not have to keep chanting in my head "must.... lose... weight..." And I am most definitely not out of shape.

I did not have to spray my cat six times today to get him out of my christmas tree. And I also didn't have to put the star back on the top over.. and over.. and over.. Nope, my tree (and cat) is still perfect!

And while I was making a batch of chocolate and peanut butter chip cookies today, I did not eat too much cookie dough, and that wasn't me who you saw licking the bowl clean. I could never have bad manners like that, or defeat the purpose of my long walk.

I didn't keep blaming sweet baby Kiera today for teaching Cayden to scream. Loud. Just because it sounds cool. But really, I don't really wonder where the heck he learned it.
I did not freak out today because I haven't bought one single Christmas present, and then I didn't go out and buy some really freaking awesome ones. And I don't think that my newphews will absolutely love their birthday presents that I just bought for them :)

And my big boy did not take his first steps today. Oh wait! YES he did! Five of them to be exact. But I sure didn't brag to everyone that I came across, because I am not a proud mom at all.
